Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well today. Today I'm celebrating the Preserving the Story writing project, the HBCU Library Alliance's first direct grant award.  Project Coordinator/Writer Dr. Shanesha Brooks-Tatum has written success stories and is preparing the Alliance's historical document. I'm so excited about this project and its impact on the library community!

Shanesha and I presented "Ten Years of Service and Transformation: The History of the HBCU Library Alliance" on Monday at ALA.  It was so rewarding to share the history and progressive work of this organization with more than 35 attendees.

It was AWESOME to see the following colleagues at Monday's session and I extend to them my heart-felt thanks for their support.

Ellis Beteck, University of Maryland Eastern Shore
Paul Blackmon, H. Councill Trenholm State Technical College (AL)
Richard Bradberry, Morgan State University (MD)
Lois Marshall, Lincoln University (MO)
Orthella Moman, Tougaloo College (MS)
Annie Payton, Fort Valley State University (GA)
Alma Ravanell, Wiley College (TX)

Respectfully,

Sandra
