VSU awarded $50,000 from Verizon for Technology Support
Virginia State University was awarded $50,000 from Verizon to provide technology support. The grant will assist in funding laptops and wireless access for students to continue their academic semester. Verizon continues to be a generous partner of Virginia State University.
"We appreciate the support provided to assist in bridging the technology divide that some of our students are experiencing," shared Charmica E. Harris, Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Director of Alumni Relations.
Verizon Communications Inc. was created on June 30, 2000, by Bell Atlantic Corp and GTE Corp. in one of the largest mergers in the U.S. business history. Today, Verizon is a global communications technology company delivering the promise of the digital world to millions of customers every day.
