PVAMU Comes to Sirius XM
Two original radio programs airing on KPVU will now be heard by an even broader audience across the country.
Howard University has launched HBCU Sirius XM, a satellite radio station dedicated to share the news and happenings of HBCUs around the country. Each participating university will offer sample original programming that is carried on their airways.
PVAMU will offer two programs. "Latinos on the Hill" is a bilingual talk show discussing the unique history and culture of PVAMU. It is hosted by Amparo Navarette and will air at 2 p.m. Mondays, 5 p.m. Wednesdays, 4 p.m. Fridays and 1 p.m. Sundays.
"On the Hill" is hosted by Mayor Frank Jackson and discusses a variety of topics pertaining to PVAMU, from voting rights to human interest stories. "On the Hill" will air at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, at 10 a.m. on Thursdays, at 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.
The HBCU Channel will air on Sirius XM Radio Channel 142.
