Alcorn President Alfred Rankins Jr. chosen as member of SACSCOC Board of Trustees
Alcorn State University President Dr. Alfred Rankins Jr. has been selected to serve as a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Board of Trustees, Class of 2016.

Dr. Rankins will be part of a 77-member body that represents more than 800 institutions with responsibility for determining Commission policy, reviewing and making decisions regarding the accreditation of institutions, conducting the initial review for any proposed dues changes or any modifications to the standards of the Commission, and serving as a liaison between the membership and Commission staff.

President Rankins extended his utmost gratitude to the SACSCOC for recognizing him and making him a part of their team.

"It is a great honor to serve as a trustee on the SACSCOC," said President Rankins. "I am committed to academic excellence. Being able to work with talented and wise academic leaders and fiscal managers to ensure the enhancement of educational quality and improve the effectiveness of our academic institutions is a tremendous opportunity."
