Partnership continues to help improve science and math achievement in Alabama

With a mission of making Alabama education better, the Annual Math and Science Partnership Conference hosted students and teachers from across the state. The MSP conference focused on promoting innovative initiatives to prepare Alabama K-12 science teachers and to help raise the science and math achievement of middle school students in the Black Belt region.

Alabama State University, Auburn University, Tuskegee University and the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa along with five Alabama community colleges are joint recipients of a National Science Foundation grant to fund a five-year program to teach nano-bio science and math to students in 10 school districts in the Black Belt region. Tuskegee is the lead institution. The conference was held Sept. 26-27 at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center.
