Pandora White awarded Fulbright Grant
Alcorn State University alumna Pandora White is reaping the benefits of her dedication to research.
White, a Fayette, Mississippi native and graduate student at the University of Alabama, was awarded the 2016-2017 Fulbright Research Grant for her research on diabetes. The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and people in other countries.
White looks forward to her chance to research abroad.
"I am happy to get the opportunity to speak about America and the African-American cultures to people outside of this country," said White. "I look forward to doing research for my dissertation."
The grant will fund White's travels, research, room and board and insurance.
