Educational Talent Search Holds Parent Meeting
Educational Talent Search held a "Parental Involvement Meeting" on November 30th @ 5:30 p.m. in the Georgia Lewis Theater. Parents and students from the local target schools were in attendance. The ETS staff welcomed the group and gave a brief overview of the many services provided to the students at the target schools, such as Tutoring/Mentoring, ACT PREP, FAFSA workshops, scholarships, and summer enrichment program just to name a few.
Presentations were given by Mrs. Tanisha Young and Mr. Taurean Moton from the campus financial aid office and the health/fitness center, along with Mrs. Charlestine Harris of the Southern Bancorp Bank in Clarksdale. Each presenter gave detailed information about their areas, while involving the audience in various activities. There was a jumping rope and hula hoop contest. Door prizes were given away and refreshments were served.
Overall, it was a very successful meeting. A parent volunteer committee was formed and we are looking forward to the next meeting. To see photos, visit the CCC Facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/pg/CCCTigers/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1006578462816702
