Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well today. Etta Royster has left the HBCU Library Alliance to pursue other opportunities.  Etta was a delightful colleague and particularly enjoyed interacting with members. We wish her well in her new pursuits.

Join me in welcoming Melinda Thomas to the HBCU Library Alliance in the role of Administrative Assistant.  Her first day was Monday, January 30th.

Melinda received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. She is a certified meeting planner and member of Potomac Chapter of Meeting Planners International.

Melinda brings more than 15 years' experience coordinating, planning, and supporting daily operational and administrative functions. Most recently, she was employed as Administrative Assistant at EADS North America, in Arlington, VA.  EADS is the leading supplier and industrial partner in defense and homeland security, commercial aviation, helicopters, telecommunications and services.

Melinda is diving into the very important work of the Alliance as we move forward with planning the Leadership Institute and Membership Meeting.
