Armed Forces entrance exam to be given at CCC

Tigers interested in joining the Armed Forces will have the opportunity to take the entrance exam right here on the campus of Coahoma Community College.

On Monday, December 4, 2017, test administrators from the federal government will visit CCC's campus to administer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students. The test will be given in the Zee A. Barron Student Union- Magnolia Room at 9:00 a.m.

"The ASVAB is a standardized test that candidates are required to take during the military entrance process, prior to Basic Training, to help determine what jobs candidates qualify for," said Trina Cox, CCC Coordinator of Career Services and Placement.  "This is a valuable opportunity for our students as well as community members."
