HBCU KINGS TO MEET AT LINCOLN UNIVERSITY FOR CONFERENCE
Jefferson City, MO- Campus kings from fifteen of the nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities will travel to Jefferson City and Lincoln University next week for the 8th Annual Mr. HBCU Kings' Leadership Conference and Competition. The conference begins on Wednesday, February 15 and runs through Sunday, February 19. Kings from Bowie State University; Central State University; Delaware State University; Fort Valley State University, Harris-Stowe State University; Howard University; Lemoyne-Owen College; Morgan State University; North Carolina A&T State University; Prairie View A&M University; Talladega College; Tennessee State University; Tuskegee University; University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Winston-Salem State University are registered for this year's event.
The men will take part in leadership workshops throughout the week, including sessions on resume building, applying to graduate school and a meet and greet with actor and motivational speaker Daryl "Chill" Mitchell. The men will also complete a community service project at Jefferson City Daycare Center on Friday, February 17.
The kings will compete for the title of 2012 Mr. HBCU on Saturday, February 18 at 7 p.m. in Robert and Charlene Mitchell Auditorium in Richardson Fine Arts Center. Cost of admission is $5.
