Hampton University News March 22, 2017 United States Senator Tim Kaine to Visit Hampton University March 24 United States Senator Tim Kaine will visit the campus of Hampton University on Friday, March 24. His visit will focus on Hampton's cybersecurity and information assurance capabilities and discussing outreach opportunities for the Hampton VA Medical Center and the Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute (HUPTI). Senator Kaine will be on campus from 1:45pm to 3:00pm. Senator Kaine will meet with HU stem students that are involved in the cybersecurity and information assurance programs and discuss how HU is making an impact in that field. Senator Kaine also will meet with Dr. William R. Harvey, HU President and Dr. Vahagn Nazaryan, HUPTI Executive Director, to discuss Hampton's role in preparing a well-educated and technology-engaged workforce and how best to provide top talent in America's growing homeland security sector. Hampton University also is looking to further expand its partnership with the Hampton VA Medical Center and to explore new ways of advancing veterans' health care into the 21st century. It long has been one of Hampton's top priorities to provide veterans uncomplicated access to the latest and most effective cancer science and treatment. SANDRA M.
