DTC Awarded $1.3 Million Grant to Assist Low Income First Generation Local Students
Denmark Technical College (DTC) was awarded a $1.3 million dollar TRIO Upward Bound Grant in September to serve tenth and eleventh graders from the Allendale and Bamberg Two School Districts. The five-year grant is awarded by the United States Department of Education and will begin this fall.

The objectives for the grant are to help students be more successful in high school and better prepared for college. DTC's Upward Bound program has elected to target 60 low-income, first-generation students in two public high schools in Allendale and Bamberg Counties.
