PVAMU Model United Nations to visit UN Headquarters in New York

PVAMU's Model United Nation (MUN) student organization, along with universities nationwide, will head to UN Headquarters in New York City this spring.
This year PVAMU MUN will explore and present information on two countries: Tunisia and Nigeria. Throughout the academic year, students compile research on the current demographics of the country, public policy, traditions, customs, and geographic challenges. Students act as diplomats of assigned countries serving on various committees, working to resolve challenges.
The Model United Nations organization has been on PVAMU's campus for 10 years and is currently under the advisement of Dr. Michael Nojeim and Dr. Nathan Mitchell. The students are scheduled to visit the United Nations headquarters March 29- April 2, 2015. This is the second year that PVAMU will be the only HBCU in attendance.
