NSU BECOMES ASSOCIATE MEMBER OF VASCUPP

Norfolk State University formally became an Associate Member of the Virginia Association of State College and University Purchasing Professionals (VASCUPP), effective June 9, 2022. As the first HBCU to become a member of the professional association, VASCUPP acknowledges that NSU provides opportunities for enhanced communications and synergy among Virginia's public colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions; and shares common professional challenges and goals as member institutions.

Especially noteworthy features of membership are the enhancement of supplier diversity programs, procurement policies and procedures, professional development and certification, procurement technology, legislative matters, operating autonomy from the State, and integration with State e-procurement systems.

Congratulations to all who assisted Norfolk State University in achieving Level II status and working with the university to become a part of the VASCUPP Association.
