Earth Day Clean Air Presentation hosted by Paine College, ASU & GHSU
Paine College, Augusta State University and Georgia Health Sciences University will jointly host a Clean Air Presentation on April 18, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the ASU Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom.
The featured speaker is Kenyon Thweatt, Senior Employer Program Manager for The Clean Air Campaign (www.cleanaircampaign.org). The Clean Air Campaign obviously promotes clean air by encouraging the use of alternate forms of transportation to work, i.e., biking, walking, ride sharing, carpooling. The program emphasizes that it is not necessary to use these alternate forms of transportation every day to have a positive impact on the environment, but as little as once a week is a great help. They also encourage employees to go online and log their commute, as well as provide online opportunities for employees to search carpool or ride share opportunities.
Individuals from businesses throughout the immediate community are invited to attend.
