HU Professor Presents Solo Exhibition 'Breaking Stereotypes'
A Hampton University endowed professor is capturing the essence of young African American students through his lens, and is showcasing his discoveries to the Hampton Roads community.  Dr. Michael Dibari Jr., Endowed Professor, Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications will open his solo exhibition, "Breaking Stereotypes" at The Transit Gallery in Norfolk, VA on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, 4-6 pm.
"Breaking Stereotypes" will feature black and white photographs of HU students and alumni. The show speaks to the ambitions and desires of young people today.
"With so much happening in our world today, dealing with the killing of African American youth, this project speaks to a more positive note. We may look different but we are all the same," said Dibari.
The Transit Gallery is located on the 2nd floor of the HRT Southside Bus Operations Maintenance & Administration Facility, Bldg. #4, 509 E. 18th St., Norfolk, VA 23504
