VSU Receives $150,000 Grant from the Marietta McNeill Morgan and Samuel Tate Morgan, Jr.
Trust Virginia State University (VSU) was awarded $150,000 from the Marietta McNeill Morgan & Samuel Tate Morgan Jr. Trust administered by Bank of America Private Bank. The award will assist in providing laptops and wireless access to students as VSU addresses technology needs of students for the upcoming academic year.

Plans are being made to provide 250 students with laptops to continue remote coursework and wireless connection for 100 of those students. This project is the first of its kind in addressing the immediate and technological needs of students impacted by COVID-19. "As we adjust and pivot for the future, the resources provided through the Marietta McNeill Morgan & Samuel Tate Morgan, Jr. Trust will allow us to support our students with the necessary technology needs. This award will directly aid our students in continuing their coursework remotely," shared Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Donald Palm.

The Marietta McNeill Morgan & Samuel Tate Morgan, Jr. Trust was established in 1962 to support and promote educational and human services programming in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
