Grand opening for Innovate, digital space for faculty, set for Thursday, Feb. 6
Join Jackson State University as it celebrates the grand opening of Innovate, a one-stop-shop for faculty and staff to create and disseminate digital content.
Innovate's grand opening is scheduled for 1 p.m.Thursday, Feb. 6, during the first day of the 2nd Annual Democratization of Cyberlearning Summit at JSU. The celebration will be in the center, located on the first floor of the H.T. Sampson Library.
Innovate will serve as the new home for academic IT and distance learning. It is the location for continual faculty development and training.
The campus library is being transformed into a modern digital intellectual commons. Innovate is the first phase of the transformation. The second phase, Create, is for students. Create will be a space for students to complete digital projects and assignments. Create will open in fall 2014.
