COVID-19 Statement

Jarvis Christian College, a private liberal arts institution, affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) strongly encourages faculty, staff and students to get vaccinated for the 2021 Fall Semester. Faculty and staff are required to show proof of vaccination to Human Resources and students are required to provide proof of vaccination to the College Nurse.

Individuals who have sincerely held religious beliefs, practices, or observances, and/or medical reasons that make receipt of the vaccine dangerous or otherwise inappropriate, are required to provide a signed statement specifying the rationale for the decision not to be vaccinated. Participation in the weekly COVID-19 testing program is mandatory for all faculty, staff, and students who come to the campus and are not fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means having received all required doses of an FDA approved (full or emergency use) COVID-19 vaccination.

All fully vaccinated faculty, staff, and students will test twice a month. Please know that we are making every effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, especially with the Delta strain being so prevalent and easily transmitted. Your health and safety are our priority. The COVID-19 protocols are attached for your convenience.
