Dr. Tony Allen, HBCUs meet at New York Stock Exchange
Delaware State University President Tony Allen joined number of other HBCU presidents and representatives for a meeting at the New York Stock Exchange and then to participate in the Closing Bell Ceremony at the end of the June 17 financial market day.
Dr. Allen and the HBCU presidents gathered at the NYSE for a meeting of the Professional Pipeline Development Program, hosted by Hewlett-Packard, a multinational information technology company, and Diageo, a multinational beverage alcohol company.
During the meeting, Dr. Allen gave a presentation on the University and on the White House Initiative on HBCU's Board of Advisors, for which he has been appointed as the Chair by President Joe Biden.
Other Historically Black Colleges and Universities represented at the NYSE meeting were Cheney University, North Carolina A&T University, Southern University and Tougaloo College.
