CBS3 Shines Spotlight on Cheyney University

CBS3 shined the spotlight on Cheyney University Monday, September 17th, as Talk Philly Host, Pat Ciarrocchi, sat down for an interview with Cheyney University President, Dr. Michelle Howard-Vital, and Cheyney University National Alumni Association (CUNAA) President, Junious Stanton. Dr. Vital talked about CU's rich 175 year history and how the Cheyney academic experience has evolved from a school that offered a couple of disciplines to one that now covers two campuses and helps students excel in many fields including science, technology, and business.
CUNAA President Stanton explained how CU's upcoming 175th Anniversary Gala Celebration on Thursday, October 18th, will help fund scholarships for highly qualified Cheyney students and keep their dreams alive. In addition, he noted that awards will go to a number of alumni who've repeatedly given back over the years to make sure that young people have opportunities to get the fine, quality education that Cheyney provides.

The gala, hosted by Kenny Gamble and organized by Cheyney Alumni, kicks off CU's Homecoming 2012 festivities.
