Hampton University Child Development Center Awarded '2016 Best of Hampton'
The Hampton University Child Development Center has won the 2016 Best of Hampton Award in the Child Care category by the Hampton Award Program.
"I am very excited. My staff and I work hard. Being recognized throughout the Hampton area shows that hard work pays off, " said Joy Phelps, Director of the HU Child Development Center.
Just last month, Phelps was recognized with the Charles A. Warren Helping Hands Award from the Hampton Mayor's Committee for people with disabilities, for her outstanding work with development center.
Phelps said, "I am passionate about what I do."
Each year, the Hampton Award Program identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.
These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community.
These exceptional companies help make the Hampton area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category.
The 2016 Hampton Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity.
Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Hampton Award Program and data provided by third parties.
The Hampton Award Program was established to recognize the best of local businesses in our community.
