Bluefield State College News February 14, 2014 BSC Student Government Association President to attend American Israel Public Affairs committee Policy Conference BSC Student Government Association President Jerry Perdue has been selected as one of 200 SGA Presidents from American colleges and universities to participate in the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference, March 2-4, 2014 in Washington, DC. The AIPAC Policy Conference highlights the importance of the partnership between the United States and Israel and emphasizes the two nations' common interests. Keynote speeches by top leaders, including President Barack Obama, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and President Shimon Peres, are scheduled, along with educational sessions and interactive exhibits. "It is an honor to attend the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Policy Conference in Washington, D.C," Perdue noted. "This event will connect me to a vast network of current and future leaders of America, as well as leaders in our global community. Israel is one of our nation's strongest allies, and our relationship with them has been strong for many years.
