Awareness Day Puts Women on the Road to Good Health
Women will receive free health screenings along with information to help support longer, healthier lives during Women's Health Awareness Day on campus Saturday, April 11. The free event will provide screenings for common diseases, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol, and offer information and referral resources to help women form healthy lifestyle habits and take charge of their health. The events will take place in the Miller-Morgan Building, 528 Nelson St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Rex Hospital's Mobile Mammography Unit will be on site in the Student Union Parking Lot to provide mammograms for women age 35 or older who are not pregnant, have no history of breast cancer and meet other qualifying health requirements. Women's Health Awareness Day is sponsored by the NCCU Department of Public Health Education, Durham Alumni Delta House, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
