Grambling State President to Award $300,000 in Technology Scholarships

Today, Grambling State University announced that applications are open for its Technology Scholarship Tourhttp://www.gram.edu/news/?page_id=6362, which will award ten tuition and fee scholarships to incoming freshmen from across the country.

About the Tour

The Grambling State University Technology Scholarship Tourhttp://www.gram.edu/news/?page_id=6362 aims to expose high school students from across the U.S. to the growing career opportunities in Cybersecurity, Computer Science and related disciplines. Led by President Rick Gallot and University alumni from across the U.S., the tour will leverage Grambling State's historic legacy as a leading producer of African-American technology graduates to help create the next generation of innovators.

"History tells us that our programs equip students to become CIOs, information entrepreneurs, and leaders in emerging technologies," said President Gallot. "Our tour and scholarships will engage a whole new generation of leaders and share the good news, that a Grambling State degree positions you to one-day lead companies like Microsoft and Amazon."

About the Scholarships
Through Grambling State University Technology Scholarship Tour, the University will award ten scholarships to incoming students who meet the following criteria:

Classification:
Incoming Freshman Only

Degree Program:
Recipients must declare and make satisfactory degree progress in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information System, or Engineering Technology.

Academic Performance:
Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and a minimum ACT Score of 21 or higher.

How to Apply:
Recipients must submit an application and required essay at gram.edu/techtour on or before April 17, 2019, at 11:59pm.
