Fayetteville State University's 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program Offers Free Summer STEM Institute
Fayetteville State University's 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program will sponsor a free Summer STEM Institute from June 16, 2014, through July 28, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the campus of Fayetteville State University.
On average, students lose approximately 2.6 months of grade-level equivalency in mathematical skills over the summer months. The 21st Century Community Learning Centers Summer STEM Institute is designed to decrease this summer learning loss by providing students with innovative hands-on activities which will strengthen and expand their scientific and mathematical knowledge. The camp consists of various STEM topics to include math, robotics, forensics, computer technology, and anatomy. The program is free and lunch will be provided.
