Dear HBCU Library Alliance Member,
A link to a survey regarding the needs of the special collections of HBCUs was sent to the Alliance membership a few days ago. Please be sure to respond to the below survey by June 11. Your responses will be used to guide discussions with potential funders for HBCU projects. Feel free to contact me (steve.eberhardt@lyrasis.orgmailto:steve.eberhardt@lyrasis.org) at LYRASIS with any questions.
Best regards, Steve Eberhardt

Dear HBCU Library Alliance Member,
The special collections of HBCU institutions are critical to the scholarly study of U.S. history. As the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-funded HBCU Photographic Preservation Project comes to a close in December 2013, we are interested in the scholarly usage and needs of your special collections.
A brief survey (6 questions) that asks for your input has been created. Your ideas regarding special collections will inform the conversation with funders for future HBCU projects. Please be as specific as possible with your answers. The survey asks for your opinions about the scholarly usage, needs, and potential of these collections. It should take less than ten minutes to complete and is online at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HBCUSpecialCollectionsSurvey
Please contact me at steve.eberhardt@lyrasis.orgmailto:steve.eberhardt@lyrasis.org at LYRASIS if you have any questions about the survey.
Best regards,
