Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well. Emerald Group Publishing, one of five 8th Membership Meeting sponsors, is engaging with the HBCU Library Alliance to support continuing education.  Please register for this training and share broadly among your contacts.

Webinar: Guide to Getting Published
Thursday, November 1, 10:00 - 11:30 ET

Description: This free webinar is for anyone looking for more information about a process that can be shrouded in mystery. No particular field and scholarly journal is emphasized, so anyone in any field will find this useful.

Topics will include: How to choose an appropriate scholarly journal, submission etiquette, peer review process, responding to peer reviewers' comments, when to contact editors, and discoverability of your article once it is published.

Presenter: Patti Davis is Senior Publisher for Emerald Group Publishing, responsible for the North American publishing program. She has more than 15 years of experience both in books and journals publishing, working previously at Rowman & Littlefield Publishers. She has worked in marketing and public relations, as well, most notably at the University of Maryland College Park. Patti travels extensively for Emerald, networking with scholars and researchers at conferences held around the world.

Registration: Access this survey monkey link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6H2BX73 and register no later than Friday, October 26th. Emerald is hosting and will provide a log-in in advance of the session.

Contact me directly if you have questions or need additional information.

Thanks to Erika Valenti and Emerald Group Publishing for their support of the HBCU Library Alliance.
Stay tuned!
