CCC to Launch Work Order Management System
In recent months, Coahoma Community College has made numerous efforts to improve the various functions of the institution. From assessing its student success initiatives to improving its customer service and accountability standards, Coahoma has taken a stance on creating a premier learning environment.
In keeping with the college's "On a Mission..." mantra, the CCC Physical Plant is implementing a Work Order Management Software System, powered by MaxPanda.
The work order maintenance management software will give the Physical Plant the ability to receive and process maintenance work as easily as surfing the web and is web-based, and on-demand through smartphones, tablets and desktops. The campus community will enjoy quick setups and easy unlimited access to support, help, and training.
Rob Stalder, chief information officer, sees the new addition as yet another streamlining CCC initiative.
"This software will allow all Coahoma faculty & staff members to submit problems/issues with lighting, heating/cooling, plumbing, doors, locks, windows, and similar things via an online form that will enable both users and the Physical Plant to track the status of the problem/issue through completion/resolutions," said Stalder.
Some of the system's features will include: optimizing maintenance work without relying on spreadsheets, paper, and redundant emails, improving response times to increase customer satisfaction, and generating reports just to name a few of its functions.
Jerone Shaw, chief of staff, believes the system will improve internal communication; bettering the services that the Physical Plant provides.
"I think communication will be better between those seeking our services and the team in this area. It will let those individuals communicate their issues much better in a timely fashion and on our end, we can prioritize and respond swiftly," said Shaw.
"We get work orders for transportation, grounds, and many other issues. So, we need this system to aid us in organization and responsiveness. It should enhance our ability to provide services to the campus community and it will keep everyone aware in the process," Shaw added.
The system is slated to launch in early February.
