Jarvis student receives internship offer from PricewaterhouseCoopers

Big Four accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has extended a 2016 summer internship job offer to Jarvis Christian College student Wendon Blair.
Blair, president of the Jarvis chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), is the first student from Jarvis to receive a job offer from a Big Four accounting firm.

Joseph H. Files, PricewaterhouseCoopers CPA, congratulated Blair on the internship.

"I hope that you find the experience both rewarding and challenging," he said. "I also hope that you gain insight into the various career opportunities available at the firm."

Blair thanks God for blessing him with such a great opportunity.

"By earning the chance to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is a Big Four accounting firm, it proves to our students and faculty that JCC is an institution where you can excel and become a prominent individual," Blair said.

Chestley Talley, Jarvis Career Services director and NABA co-adviser, said this is an excellent time for students at Jarvis to receive employment opportunities from Fortune 500 companies.

"I agree with what Oprah Winfrey once said, 'There is no such thing as luck. Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity,'" Talley said. "The Jarvis NABA team prepared Wendon for the same opportunities that students receive at large universities."
