Morgan Hosts Regional Emergency Management Training
Morgan today opened FEMA's (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Emergency Management Institute (EMI) to provide Multi-Hazard Emergency Planning for Higher Education. Seven college emergency management teams will meet for three days to discuss and develop emergency management best practices and processes for colleges and universities.
Teams from Bowie State University, Tufts University, University of Maryland College Park, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Goucher University, University of Baltimore and Morgan State University will participate in the training, funded by a grant awarded to the Morgan's Department of Police and Public Safety.
EMI is the emergency management community's flagship training institution, and provides training to Federal, State, local, tribal, volunteer, public, and private sector officials to strengthen emergency management core competencies for professional, career-long training.
