Bowman among 2014 H.S. Warwick Research Award winners

Nelson Bowman, executive director of development at PVAMU believes in cultivating an environment of philanthropy through engagement of alumni is vital to the success of any collegiate fundraising and his work in this area has received recognition.
Bowman recently received the H.S. Warwick Research Award for his book, "Engaging Diverse College Alumni: the Essential Guide to Fundraising," which is co-authored by Dr. Marybeth Gasman, Director of the Center for Minority-Serving Institutions at Penn Graduate School of Education. The award is given by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
H.S. Warwick Research Awards winners must demonstrate scholarly research. In addition, the research should be a source of knowledge to educational advancement practitioners in the field of alumni relations. Bowman's book will be used a part of the curriculum in LeadershipPVAMU, a new program designed to hone leadership skills in employee participants.
