It is with deep sadness that I inform you that our friend and colleague Mary Jo Fayoyin passed away on yesterday.
Mary Jo served as HBCU Library Alliance Board Chair in 2010 and retired as Dean of Libraries from Savannah State University (GA) in 2019. Homegoing arrangements will be shared when available.

I am sadden to hear of the passing of Mary Jo. Savannah State University was the first university that I attended a HBCU Library Alliance Meeting when I became Director of Library Services at Elizabeth City State University. During that meeting, Mary Jo was so welcoming, kind and cordial. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family.
