Fisk University is featured in the August 2013 edition of US Airways Magazine, in an article about the nation's Historically Black Colleges & Universities.

Referred to as an "educational powerhouse," Fisk is highlighted for the quality of its programs and the achievements of its graduates, as well as its innovative science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) departments.
