President-elect Silver to Host Series of 'Listening Sessions'
Members of the ASU family and University partners will have an opportunity to share their thoughts about the University during a series of "listening sessions" with President-elect Joseph H. Silver Sr.

Alabama State University President-elect Joseph H. Silver Sr. is listening, and he wants to hear from you.
Silver is hosting a series of "listening sessions" with faculty, staff, administrators, students, alumni, boosters, and business and community groups to gather feedback as he prepares to take the helm of the University.
The sessions will be held on Aug. 15 and Sept. 6 in the auditorium of the Ralph D. Abernathy College of Education Building.
"All constituents of the University have a vested interest in the growth and development of the institution," Silver said in a letter to the ASU community. "Therefore, everyone should play an appropriate role in working toward the goals and strategic priorities of the University. I have done 'my homework' as to the issues, challenges and successes of ASU. However, the results are just my initial understanding of each. I need to hear from you before I develop a work plan for myself on behalf of the University."
Silver will officially take office on September 17.
