Dear Prospective Participant,

I hope this email finds you well. We are reaching out to invite you to participate in an important research study conducted by Angel Pridgen, a doctoral candidate at Trevecca Nazarene University, under the supervision of Dr. Jana Roberts. Your insights and experiences hold significant value for our research, and we would be honored to have you as a participant.

Study Purpose:

This study explores the experiences and perspectives surrounding racialized structures within academic libraries. Your input will contribute to a deeper understanding of these issues and potentially pave the way for positive changes in the academic environment.

Voluntary Participation:

We want to emphasize that your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. You have the autonomy to choose whether to participate in the research. Furthermore, should you decide to participate, you can withdraw from the study at any point and for any reason without facing any adverse consequences. Your decision to participate or withdraw will be respected without question.

Confidentiality and Privacy:

Rest assured that any information you provide will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Data collected in this study and signed consent forms will be kept in a locked filing cabinet in the researcher’s office. After collection, survey data is often entered into a password-protected Excel file and stored on a private computer to which only the researcher has access.
