Executive Assistant Job Posting:  Starting Salary $50,000

The HBCU Library Alliance is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive confidential support in a range of strategic areas for the Alliance.

This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Executive Director, a liaison to the Board of Directors and communications manager for internal and external information delivery to members of the Alliance. The qualified incumbent must be creative, confident and enjoy working in an environment that is mission and results driven as well as community focused. The individual will have knowledge of the HBCU environment, the ability to work independently in a variety of situations, possess strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizations skills.

The Executive Assistant must be able to work under pressure and handle a wide variety of tasks including confidential matters with discretion. The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment is needed. A comprehensive knowledge of the HBCU environment is also needed. The qualified incumbent must be able to organize and manage a daily workload by priorities. The Executive Assistant must be proficient in MS Office suite, as well as other software programs, such as project management software and video conferencing systems.
