Albany State University News November 11, 2018 Albany State highlights ethical culture through Ethics Awareness Week Albany State University and the University System of Georgia are proud participants of Ethics Awareness Week, Nov. 11-17. In support of this effort, ASU will host activities to further promote a more ethical culture on campus. Activities during the week will help bring awareness to the importance of an ethical culture and how it is critical to the success of institutions, employees, students, communities and how Georgia is educated. Ethics Awareness Week will reinforce the USG's culture of recognizing the hard work of all employees and promoting shared values of integrity, excellence, accountability and respect. In addition to USG's ethical values, the Code of Conduct is the foundation of the USG's priorities of degree attainment, affordability and efficiency. ASU will join other state colleges and universities for the weeklong campaign. This week's theme is "SPIRIT of USG." All planned events will emphasize: Stewardship, Prevention, Integrity, Responsibility, Inspiration and Trust. Activities planned for this week are as follows: * Human Resources Online Ethics Training * Daily Ethics Trivia Questions * Student Employees Ethics Training Monday, Nov. 12 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Student Center Ballroom (East) * Office of Internal Audits Ethics Awareness Panel Presentation Wednesday, Nov. 14 11 a.m., Building C, room 266 (West) * Student Ethics Movie Night Wednesday, Nov. 14 8 p.m., Building C, room 266 (West) The awareness program is part of a comprehensive Ethics and Compliance Program which includes a system-level Ethics Policy and Code of Conduct, on-board ethics training, periodic ethics refresher training, compliance audits, special reviews and an ethics and compliance reporting hotline.
