The Tom Joyner Foundation is recognizing Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C., as the February 2014 School of the Month. The foundation, formed by the nationally syndicated radio personality, chose Johnson C. As the Tom Joyner Foundation 'School of the Month,' JCSU will be promoted by the Tom Joyner Morning Show and receive funds raised from listeners, alumni and other interested parties in February. The radio show, aired in 115 markets across the nation, reaches nearly eight million listeners every week.
