Colleagues,

See messaging below from AUC's Jessica Leming to archivists re: ASALH 2017 Conference.
The Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library is proposing a panel session for the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) 2017's conference theme of "The Crisis in Black Education". We are looking for fellow panelists with collections about Black education and schools (current or defunct), that would like to speak to researchers and scholars about the importance of preserving materials that document these histories and resources on education.  The panel will have a title similar to "Preserving Materials Documenting Black Education". If you would like to join as a panelist on this session and talk about the importance of your collections based on the conference theme, please reply to jleming@auctr.edumailto:jleming@auctr.edu by Wednesday, March 29.
Conference details: September 27 - October 1, 2017, Cincinnati, Ohio. Must be registered to attend and present. https://asalh100.org/annual-meeting/
Thank you- Jessica
