Dillard to be test-optional for the 2021-2022 academic year

Dillard University's Office of Recruitment, Admissions and Programming has revised its admissions policy due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure that every prospective student has the opportunity to be considered for acceptance, Dillard will operate as a test-optional school for the 2021-2022 academic year. Students who are not able to test or do not wish to use their ACT or SAT scores can apply as a test-optional applicant. Test-optional students are required to submit their high school transcript with at least grades 9-11 reflected and have at least a 3.0 unweighted cumulative grade point average. Those interested applicants should complete our Test-Optional Policy Form. https://forms.gle/xkyyaZspj6snB8PD8

"As an institution focused on providing a smooth transition from high school college for our incoming students, Dillard University has decided to go test-optional for the 2021-2022 academic year," Monica White, director of Recruitment, Admissions and Programming said in a statement. "The Office of Recruitment, Admissions and Programming understands the stress and uncertainty that many students are facing regarding college entrance exams and we want to remove that added barrier for prospective students and their families to make Dillard University a viable option for the next steps in their educational journey."

Students who have already completed their application will have the chance to be considered as a test-optional applicant. International and home-schooled applicants are not eligible to be considered for test optional consideration. Those applying using the test optional route will also be considered for an institutional grant, but if an applicant wishes to be considered for merit based scholarships they must submit either their ACT or SAT scores.
