Phon-a-thon Program Proves Successful

The University's second Phon-a-thon has garnered another successful showing, with $70,000 raised in two weeks.

From September 25th to October 8th, students phoned the University's alumni in an effort to raise funds for general support, including scholarships, student programs and activities. The students offered updates to the alums on various activities and achievements at the University. The money raised surpassed the event's goal by 18 percent.

"This shows the alumni that we are committed to do everything to ensure Prairie View A&M University's success," Nelson Bowman, the University's director of development said. "We greatly appreciate the support of our alumni."

Alumni, students, fans or friends of PVAMU can still support students or scholarships at any time by visiting www.pvamu.edu/givinghttp://www.pvamu.edu/giving.
