The USAIN Awards Committee is pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for our biennial conference scholarships. We look forward to hearing from you!

CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP FOR MEMBERS REPRESENTING HBCUs

One $2000.00 scholarship to be applied to the costs of attending the USAIN 2020 conference is available to USAIN members who represent Historically Black Colleges and Universities and who are involved in the field of agricultural information. The virtual conference will be held April 3-6, 2022 hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. If not already a USAIN member, you will need to be a USAIN member upon winning the scholarship. USAIN membership at: https://usain.org/join-us

To apply, send a cover letter including name, address, e-mail address, and phone number along with job title/description, place of employment and or student status and a brief explanation of why you are interested in attending the USAIN conference.

Also, submit an essay on a separate page or pages. The essay should be double-spaced, no more than 750 words, and address the 2022 conference theme: "Supporting Agriculture: Food, Fiber, and Family." Essays will be judged on the basis of thoughtfulness, quality of writing, and adherence to application guidelines as described above.

Award recipients agree to write and publish a reflection of their conference experience on USAIN social media. The reflection will be submitted to the Awards & Honors Committee for approval prior to publication.

A check will be mailed to the recipient following the USAIN Awards ceremony at the Conference. USAIN reserves the right to withhold the awards if there are no suitable applicants.

Deadline is January 15-20, 2022.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by January 31, 2022.
