Cheyney University Trustees Hold Student Fees Constant for 2012-13 Year
At a meeting on July 26, Cheyney University's Council of Trustees supported holding student fees constant to help keep the cost of attending Cheyney University affordable. With a 3 percent tuition and tuition technology fee increase authorized by the State Board of Governors and a zero percent increase in all campus-assessed fees, the average cost for a full-time undergraduate residential student will increase $198.00 for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Following the Council meeting, Cheyney University President Dr. Howard-Vital commented, "I am very pleased with the construction of the new 400 bed residence hall and the renovation of Humphreys' Hall for Honors students. With the continuous development of living learning communities and the growing internship program, Cheyney University offers an excellent value for students and their families to receive a quality education from caring faculty members."
According to Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Suzanne Phillips, registration levels for new and returning students show improvement for the upcoming year.
