Bethune-Cookman University News December 2017 Twenty Year Military Sergeant Graduates from B-CU Global Online College Clifford A. Hill Jr., a military graduate student and fifth generation Wildcat, will be receiving his master's degree this weekend during fall commencement. Hill, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, majored in Transformative Leadership through the B-CU Global Online College, after 18 years of service in the United States Military serving as a Master Sergeant. "I joined the Army the day after my high school graduation at the age of 18 when I decided to serve my country instead of going to college," Hill said. Hill learned that Bethune-Cookman University had online undergraduate and graduate degree programs available for current military and U.S. veterans. "At that point I realized that I had an opportunity to become a part of a great legacy and achieve one of my lifetime goals," he added. During the process of completing his master's degree in Transformative Leadership, Hill learned that this program was not for the faint, but vigorous and rewarding. "Thanks to my advisors and professors, Dr. Ball, Dr. Patel, Dr. Humphries, Dr. Frazier, and my military advisor Major Earl Filmore," said Hill. "They have all helped me to understand the true meaning of transformative leadership and confirmed that I had chosen the correct degree to compliment my 20 years of leadership and combat experiences in the Army." B-CU provided Hill a positive learning environment, allowing him to understand the importance of being a part of a historic university and legacy of Wildcats. Hill gives honor to God, and said, "I truly understand that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." He further recognizes his supporters and his late cousin/baby brother and fellow WILDCAT, Larry "Mitch" Rozier in dedication of his degree. SANDRA M.
