The Black Male College Explorers Program Wins Top Prize at The National Council Of Negro Women Black History Brain Bowl Competition
Several young men from B-CU's Black Male College Explorers Program (BMCEP) participated in a Black history brain bowl competition at Daytona State College, hosted by the Daytona Beach section of the National Council of Negro Women. Two teams represented the BMCEP, a middle school and high school team.  The competition was moderated with teams responding to questions from the African-Americans post Transatlantic Slave trade. The BMCEP middle school team placed 3rd in the overall middle school bracket, and was awarded gift bags for their efforts. The high school team was anchored by Tirik Peterson and Camari Nelson, along with James Peterman and Bryson Gregory. The BMCEP high school bracket came in first place and received laptop computers.
Bethune-Cookman University is proud of all of the students of the Black Male College Explorers Program who studied hard and participated in The Brain Bowl.
