Alcorn ranks in four U.S. News & World Report rankings

Alcorn State University’s excellence continues to receive national recognition from one of the country’s leading ranking publications.

Alcorn earned four rankings in the 2021 U. S. News & World Report rankings. The University ranks No. 19 in the Historically Black Colleges and Universities category, rising four spots from last year (No. 23). Alcorn is also ranked No. 28 in the Top Performers on Social Mobility, No. 39 in Top Public Schools, and No. 84 in Regional Universities South.

President Felecia M. Nave credits the hard work of Alcorn’s campus community for the University’s success.

“Alcorn’s yearly rankings are an indication of our hard work and commitment to achieving greatness,” said Nave. “We set the bar high, and we strive not only to live up to our standards but also exceed them. Alcorn is filled with exceptional students, faculty, and staff who go above and beyond to represent the University positively. Our goal is to remain a top university for years to come.”
