Coahoma Community College News October 14, 2020 Coahoma to Institute COVID PASS, Daily Self Health Screenings Coahoma Community College students, faculty, and staff who will be on campus this fall are expected to conduct a daily wellness check through COVID PASS. The initiative is set to start on Monday, October 19. This new measure will help maintain the health and safety of the CCC campus and surrounding communities during the ongoing pandemic. The purpose of COVID PASS is to detect when someone may be experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 before the physically visit the Coahoma Community College main campus and satellite locations. Upon navigating to the COVID PASS tool, individuals will indicate whether they are experiencing symptoms by checking a box. If students or employees are not experiencing symptoms, they will check the "none of the above" box. Upon submitting the form, COVID PASS will generate one of two results: cleared or not cleared to come to campus. This is to take place daily until otherwise announced by Coahoma officials If an individual is not experiencing symptoms, COVID PASS will generate a green pass to indicate the individual is cleared to come to campus. For those who indicate they are experiencing unexpected symptoms, the tool will generate a red notice to notify the individuals that they should not come to campus. In either case, the employee or student will also receive a "cleared" or "not cleared" email. The results also can be printed if desired. Coahoma employees who are experiencing unexpected symptoms should not come to campus, should contact their supervisors to make necessary arrangements, and are recommended to contact their local health care providers. CCC students who are experiencing unexpected symptoms should not come to campus or attend face-to-face classes and should contact Coahoma Student Health Service or their local health care providers. The Campus Community is reminded to remain vigilant and continue to foster a culture of compliance - completing the daily COVID Pass, wearing masks, maintaining a social separation of at least six feet, washing our hands frequently, avoiding touching our faces, avoiding large gatherings, and no parties.
