Media Invited to Cover UVI’s 2021 Online Commencement
Members of the media are invited to cover the University of the Virgin Islands’ Fifty-Seventh Annual Commencement Ceremony at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 14, virtually. The online commencement ceremony will honor the 2021 graduates from the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas and the UVI extension campus at the University of St. Martin.
United States Senator, spiritual leader and political trailblazer, Reverend Dr. Raphael Warnock, will be the keynote speaker and receive a Doctor of Humane Letters Honorary Degree from the University. Honorable U.S. District Court Judge Wilma Lewis, an esteemed jurist and outstanding public servant, will receive the Doctor of Law Honorary Degree. UVI Board Chair Emeritus Alexander Moorhead will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
