Greetings Colleagues,

I trust you're well and in good spirits.  Continue to practice an abundance of caution in all your activities.

Eighteen institutions applied to participate in the inaugural HBCU Library Alliance/CLIR Podcast initiative. As you recall, participating institutions will be interviewed twice with the goal of creating a 30-minute podcast that illustrates the important work of HBCUs and their contributions in the global world.

I'm so pleased with the response and interest in this initiative, and in expanding its focus for even greater community impact. The collections represented are so valuable and compelling as they highlight the extensive contributions of HBCUs to history and culture.

The following institutions have been selected for the inaugural round of the HBCU Library Alliance/CLIR Podcast Series.

  1. Alcorn State University (MS)

  2. Benedict College (NC)

  3. Meharry Medical College (TN) and Fisk University (TN)

  4. Morgan State University (MD)

  5. Southern University New Orleans (LA)

  6. Tuskegee University (AL)

Thanks again to all who applied for this initiative. Know that discussions continue to develop a second round of podcasts.

Stay tuned for more information!

Respectfully,

Sandra
